Well, a friend did it so why can't I?

sheezy93 said I should do a thing where I talk about my main character, Yori Sato, and her history. ...Well, wish me luck.
Important note: Since I cleaned a lot of Yori's older pictures, I might use some of my friends artworks as a better reference. Hope you don't mind.

Believe it or not, Yori was actually first created in the Walfas Create thing, and wasn't even called Yori. Her name was Tami, derived from tami-flu (I can't believe I named her after a medicine). But she became my new main character after a long time with Touhou and a long time away from Hiome. Regardless, this one was basically the hyper-active one(like the one who says "rawr") and might have some danmaku powers.

And then I decided to change her design to this. Don't know why. Probably because I didn't like the look anymore? Her name remained unchanged though, but I'm unsure if their personality improved.


When I started looking up more stuff other than Touhou on DeviantArt, my horizons began to broaden a bit. I'm not sure if this came before or after the design change, but I remember looking at the Vampire Knight books and the name meanings. I chose Yori because it means "trust" and Sei because it means "star". As for the design, it changed dramatically. This is mainly due to me following this one person named Syaming-li (Reminder: doesn't have an account yet). Since he was a Sonic artist, I gave Yori a fox form. The human form looked all right, but for the fox... well...

Let's just say that I'm very lucky to have supportive and kind friends.

Anyway, this Yori had an interesting power, in comparison to most Sonic fan characters (not to toot my own horn). Basically, she had the power to manipulate plasma. Like the kind you see in those plasma ball things... I think. But it could take on any form to which she wishes it to be.

So ignoring the entire process of Yori being redesigned over and over again, from getting to complicated, to even more complicated, to simple again and receiving different forms of Yori, and even flip-flopping in powers like martial arts and...

(Summary: I was an eager to please kind of person. It actually kind of took a toll on me at some points)

I EVENTUALLY calmed down after leaving the Sonic fandom (Though I still tinkered with her) and stuck with pretty much the same look she had at the beginning. But then a different problem came along: I was over-complicating her character. Giving her too many weakness to counter her strengths, editing her likes and dislikes, a long complicated backstory, it was too complicated that I even separated her entire bio in an another deviation.

But I raised her into the beautiful woman that she is today. She is now... relatable. Strong. And... WICKED!!!

...Y'know Yori, what if we gave you different styled boots and white gloves and got rid of your cape?
